I want to take this time to say “Thank You” to all of the veterans of the past and the soldiers of the present. Words can’t express how grateful I am for the sacrifices that you and your family have made and are still making for our country.
My heart was touched dearly this weekend. For those of you who didn’t know, the ML Motorsports team partnered with an awesome organization called Wish for Our Heroes. This organization grants wounded soldiers and active service men and women basic needs wishes along with fun wishes.The ML Motorsports team had the wonderful opportunity of partnering with this group at Charlotte Motor Speedway and we were able to have them accompany us at The History 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race.
Our weekend kicked off at Dave and Busters on Friday afternoon for an early Birthday dinner with my family, friends and the Wish for Our Heroes team. We all had a great time just hanging out and enjoying each other's company over great food and arcade games.
Saturday was in full force with both qualifying and the Nationwide race. The service men and their families joined us at the track to get the full at-track experience with our team. They accompanied us on pit road for qualifying, pre-race ceremonies and were able to sit front row and center in the “hot seats” during the race. I had a great time getting to know each of them and was truly honored and touched by their amazing stories. They are and will always be the real heroes of our country.
To the service me and women that joined us this weekend, it was so great meeting you all! Thanks for being a part of our team. You guys’ are such an inspiration to me and my family, and we can’t thank you all enough for everything you do for our country!
