As I sit in the motorhome watching it rain at Talladega, I figured I would take a moment to blog to my wonderful supporters and reflect on the beginning of the season while also getting the opportunity to connect with you guys. I apologize for not blogging regularly, BUT from this point forward I will make a pledge to myself and to my fans that I will start blogging at least once a week if not twice. So, everyone should come back to the site for my new blog entries because you won’t be disappointed…hopefully! ![]()
Reflection time! A couple of fans have tweeted and posted questions on my Facebook page about what I think about the Nationwide series and how I would rate my season so far, so here goes nothing…
For starters, I absolutely love the Nationwide Series. It’s exactly where I need to be in my career. I feel like I’ve developed so much as a driver and as a person in just these past five races. At the beginning of the season, I knew that it was going to be a huge learning curve considering this is a new series for me, a new team, new tracks, etc.
Going into the 2012 season I made several goals for myself. I wanted to gain as much experience and knowledge as I possibly could, continue to progress week in and week out and accomplish several top-15 and top-20 finishes throughout the year. So far, I feel like me and the ML Motorsports team are continuously progressing and improving at each race. The team has worked extremely hard at the shop to prepare cars that fit my driving style while also bringing fast cars to the track. Richmond was definitely a good indication on how well we are improving. I’m a rookie driver and I have a lot to learn, but I feel like I’m heading in the right direction.
So, to answer your question I’m definitely pleased with our performance this year. There is always room for improvement, but I know if we continue to progress at each race that we attend we are just going to get better.
Furthermore, I LOVE answering your questions and interacting with you all, so feel free to ask me questions on my Facebook page or Twitter account and I will make sure to answer them in future blog entries. I will be covering all aspects of my life, not just racing, so I promise there will be something for everyone! Since the jet dryers are on the track, I’m going to wrap things up! Thanks for reading and I hope to see y’all at DEGA! =)
