team traveled to Winchester, Indiana, Labor Day weekend to the Winchester Speedway for the World Stock Car Festival, where she led a portion of the race, but was involved in an incident which injured her car, but did not stop her from marching on and bringing home a top-10 finish.
“I led until lap 30,” explained Long. “That’s when [Scott] Hantz got past me. We were just going to stay behind him and then he got in a wreck with a lapped car, which put us starting the race again. Then I led 10 more laps until Brian Ickler got into me a little bit and I hit the wall. We came back out and finished 10th.”
Practice makes perfect and that is the motto that Long and her team are living by this season as they are going to run the 40-lap Pro Late Model feature this Friday night at Five Flags Speedway FL) in preparation for the Blizzard Series event on September 25th.
