Johanna Long Puts Disappointing Finish in the Rear View and Looks Forward to Blizzard Race #3
17-Year-Old Driver Has High Hopes For This Weekend's Blizzard Series Event

“We started fourth and got in a rough spot behind a car that missed a shift,” said Long.  “Several cars got by us.”

Unfortunately, another late-race incident caused Long and another competitor to be demoted to the rear; a challenge the crew deemed drastic enough to park the car with three laps to go.

“I was under Keith English and he came down on me and we were both sent to the rear, so we decided it wasn’t worth it to stay out and decided to just park it.”

Looking forward to this weekend, Long and her crew as well as her extensive fan base will head to her home track Five Flags Speedway this Friday night for the third race of the Blizzard season.

“We’re looking to go out there and bring home a solid top-five finish,” said Long.  “We want to get a good points run and bring home a good finish.”

The third race in the Blizzard Series will take place on Friday, June 26th at Five Flags Speedway.  Long will then head to Mobile International Speedway (AL) on Saturday, June 27th for the third event in the Miller Lite Series.

Due to the rain-induced postponement of the Redbud 300 in Anderson Speedway in Indiana, Johanna Long and her Panhandle Motorsports crew were able to make it back to Five Flags Speedway (FL) to break out their Pro Late Model in preparation for this weekend’s Blizzard Super Late Model Series race, however the event didn’t quite go the way they wanted it.

Long started near the front of the pack, but was put in a hole early on.
