Johanna Long Set Records Again at Mobile in ASA SAT
Pensacola, Florida, Driver
Has Mixed Doubleheader Weekend

“We had to go to the back at Mobile because we were working on the car past the 10 minute time session. We fought back and managed to get a top 10.”

Long was trying to avoid trouble at Five Flags, resulting in her dropping back in the pack.  The loss of position would end up putting her in the wrong place at the wrong time.

“We slipped back early in the race after a car in front of us missed a shift,” said Long.  “We fell back to 12th and we worked our way back up to seventh.  They were all crashing in front of us and we had nowhere to go.

“We thought we were going to have a great weekend and we know that these things happen,” added Long.  “We know we’ll be racing again in a few weeks and we will just do the best we can then.”
Johanna Long has gotten pretty good at setting track records at Mobile International Speedway (AL).  The Florida native decided to run the weekend events with the ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour at the tracks that she is used to running every week.  Setting the track record was pretty much the highlight of here weekend as she finished seventh at Mobile and 27th at Five Flags Speedway (FL).

“We had the track record for the Pro Late Model series and it was really good to back that up with an ASA SAT track record,” said Long.
